Re: The Ladder
Actually you were maybe.
Ladder is designed that way that it makes it very easy to rise for low ranked yet skilled players; and can make the high ranked ones going down very fast.
It is because someone on the bottom doesn't get punished for being killed by those on top. But you get rewarded a lot for killing them and in the same time they get punished a lot for being killed by you.
There is a theoretical situation where two players with a huge gap are playing. Lets say there is a high ranked guy called Eph with 2000 points against you with only 100. If Eph beats you 15:1, he wins the match but loses ladderwise. Simply because he could not have gain enough points back by killing you 15x to compensate the loss when he got killed once by you.

Haha yes, but you know, not killing someone in Nox sometimes is harder. We aim to only get that guy, but then we end up killing everyone. And my RAMdoms only add to that.

Re: The Ladder
- SPOILER [+]
Ofc Superjack for example plays only once yet and I played much more, bcs I tried to fight as often as I can, ecpecially against best players like Ephreaym. So ladder system can't calculate Superjack true rating accurately enough right now. This is no problem. But despite the fact that I played a lot, ladder can't calculate my actual rating too. I think ladder has a problem with "kill and death value" of nonregistered players and opportunities to score high rating on them. Today morning I was looked on servers for battles, US has some players. Nobody was in ladder from them (except d3r3k), but I dicided to play bcs I need all fighting experience I can get. All of them was about my level (maybe I was slightly-slightly better), but I get big ladder boost only for two victorious rounds. When I saw it, I stop playing, becouse I though that ladder has broken. If I did't kill myself a few times with my FoV, I would rise higher then Ephreaym. Looks like death from nonregistered player actually don't affect rating.
P.S. Actually ladder rating don't means much for me. I hasn't illusions about my true skill. But I like when things around me works perfectly.) Also I registered in ladder for "fair play" porpose. Because I want to play, but I don't want to spoil the ladder statistics from nonregistered state.)
Keep calm and train aim.

Re: The Ladder
yo
You are almost on the top because you play most. Not only skill is rewarded but also dedication (activity).
This might be a problem when you have only one month because one month is obviously not long enough for most of the players to show up and turn their skill into points (rank). People don't play nox regularly. Sometimes you have someone who play every day and then you don't see him for many months (or forever).
This is actually the reason why I was for much longer Ladder time, but I got outvoted. Well, on the other hand, with this setting even less skilled players have chance to win or get close which is not a bad thing!
Don't worry about unregistered players, they don't affect the score in any bad way!
Btw, No system can calculate Superjack's true skill accurately if Superjack does not play!
Same goes for everyone.
As I said before in my previous post the ladder is very noob-friendly.
Read it.
You can see how many points you get on screen or console.
There is also one thing you don't know: The ladder has ping compensation which means it rewards those with much higher ping by more points. This is because ping is simply way too big factor to be completely ignored.
and victim loses about 70% of it.
But there are more modifiers involved and I am lazy to look at it right now.
(I can provide further details if you need, but later...)
Anyway I appreciate your asking.

Simplified formula would go like this: 100/((AttackerPoints/victimPoints)*10)
and victim loses about 70% of it.
