Tomorrow evening I might not have time, not sure if we should start then or next week, but this seems like a good thread to decide who rotates the sunday evening games.
I will host a game on the 29th, and I'm thinking of making it themed too. Maybe a theme with some special rules, like no one shot weapons (Warhammer, Deathray & FoN staff disabled or something). Well, can discuss here anyway. I invited Norten's ass to get over here also.

I would also be happy to host in rotation. With maybe the sort of theme of No armour/clothes/Forcefield. A Weapons only mode. Sounds fairly interesting

Re: Host of Sunday-evening games thread
Good idea, maybe it's just my feeling but any limitations like no weaps. etc. makes the game just less fun.
What about playing other modes than arena? CTF, Elim, KoTR, teamed KotR is especially fun.
Also those games where two people dueled in one of the dueling maps and other chatted outside the ring was another great fun and it had some kind of funny social aspect.

Re: Host of Sunday-evening games thread
Although I wouldn't really like a no-weapons-at-all event, I still disagree that limitations necessarily diminish 'fun', I think it changes the balance which allows for fresh thinking regarding strategies, and I like freshness. People used to have unwritten rules and also used RUL files back in the day (to the complaint of many people, but eh I don't particularly care about that) to do that. Unwritten rules are obviously not of this time of hyper minmaxing, so that's fine but I will gladly host my event with weird shit introduced to change things around.
This was always great, I hope Norten or someone else will organise such an event.

Re: Host of Sunday-evening games thread
I'm still really liking my idea of:
Maybe add one "special" item in the middle of the map. That's highly valuable, but also exposes the player that wants to get it. Like a potion of Force Field. Or a wooden stick.
EDIT: I do think that not having acces to weapons does force new playstyles. That's why I also like the option of not having items respawn. It creates a new dynamic. Maybe we can have a flagball season?
With casters!
- Wizard only
- Only Death Ray, Channel Life and Teleport to Target allowed
- Only items on the map are healing potions

Subject: Sunday-evening events - Coming 29-03-2020 at 6PM GMT+1
Great idea. Thank for warning, I will probably refrain from playing according to these rules that Sunday.
Siriously. Even without Triple Fb and DRay staves Mages can do quite deadly Fireboll barrage from hands. Fireball+EBolt very deadly too. And both of this much more easy to land, then FoV blow, which difficult to land even after Stun victory in Inversions wrestle or from point blank Stun, bcs with Teleports and Blink FoV can be avoided very easyly. It is almost hard to land a good blow with Meteor as a FoV (maybe even harder), and Meteor has ridiculous damage througt plate armor or leather armor with PfF. Default mage's robe with PfF/FF protect from Meteor even better. TCloud without Xbow not good too. War very often no need weapons at all. With only long sword and small shield after respown War already can be very dangerous for Conj. Harpoon+Ram MUCH easy to hit, then FoV or FoN. Actually it much easy to hit then XBow shot. Sometimes I can take a War with Fireball staff, ghosts+flyers support and cheating Charm bomber, but this is extremely difficult for me yet. Shortly, this rules for next Sunday don't look a balanced. Actually, this rules looks more unbalanced then Blink ban with allowed Teleports.
I do not recommend looking under the spoiler, because there are a lot of curses and personality transitions under it. Really, don't spoil your mood.
Personally I want to play Team Arena with fiendly fire. Also I don't know, is this idea feasible, but I want try to play with friendly fire for summons. It just looks stupid, when I can kill myself with FoN or FoV, but can't do any harm to my minions. Also Mage can Trigger and Detonate his/her Traps, Conj can't. If it were possible for Conj to kill his/her own bombers, this would provide some new tactical opportunities.

This sunday's volunteer: superjack46 (pogro, Maurice Ravel, etc)
Time: 29th of March, 18:00 (6 PM) GMT+1 time.
Server: NoXCommunity EU (ladder EU)
Theme: No hard-hitter weapons ELIM - FoN, Crossbow, TripleFireballWand, Dray staff, Greatsword and Warhammer disabled.
If 12+ people show up and play regular CTF without the disabled weapons will be put on
Hope to see you all there.

Re: Host of Sunday-evening games thread
The server runs mostly small maps, and yesterday we had a decent amount of players. This results in very fast paced chaotic games, in which I kill anything on sight. Looking if somebody has a weapon is the difference between getting a lesson or dying. There's nobody sparing me if I don't have a Death Ray equipped, and I often get killed trying to get it (or even while trying to find it in all these new maps).@Ephreaym, you are so strong, so style, with exelent ping. Why you are clung to me like a tick, every time when I was without weapon or with Fb staff only, which quite useless against mages? You affraid me with a Xbow? Or you affraid Chumleigh or Had Zeng and becouse of it if you has alterntive, you tries to take any more lighter frags? Or are you shaking so badly for every single score, and any lesson point for you much more important then even a small bit of fun for other people?
If there's lots of players, it's a "indiscriminate feast of bloodletting." Adjust your tactics. Play a bit more cautious until you've got your weapon of choice. Throw a Force of Nature out there and see people flop over when it bounces around a corner. If it's a calm game, then sure. Gear up and fight it out. I recall having played lots of games like this with you, or having changed my class and playstyle to make it more fair.
